Speaking to the nation late Wednesday and Thursday last week, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte had said that no one should try to harm doctors and medical staff. The Corona virus has created very serious circumstances and will allow the police and the military to shoot at those who defy government orders.

Luzon, the main island of the Philippines, has been locked down for the past one month, and other provinces have banned transportation and social activities. The Corona virus has so far killed 144 people in the Philippines and the number of victims has exceeded 3,000.
